Red Arrows at Monaco Yacht Show 2008

Britain's famed Red Arrows performed aerial acrobatics over the skies of Monaco (Sep 25) to entertain participants at the 2008 Monaco Yacht Show. The flying daredevils of the Royal Air Force brought a halt to most activities in the principality for about half an hour as residents and workers rushed to balconies and windows to catch the free air show.

The aerial display was organized by the British contingent at the yacht show to mark the 20th anniversary of the Pendennis shipyard, to mark the presence of the Superyacht UK group, and to celebrate the distinction of the British superyacht industry. The Monaco Yacht Show, now in its 18th year, attracts a global high-end professional and private clientele from the international luxury yachting industry. Organizers say, by the end of of the four days (Sep 24 - 27), the 500 exhibitors would have showed off their goods to some 28,000 participants.
